Born Donald Marshall Gray, he changed his stage name to Charles
Grey in 1952 in his stage debut of "As You Like It", as there was already a one-armed actor by the
name Donald Gray. With a career spanning 4 decades, he played such notable roles as Caesar in the BBC
production of "Julius Caesar", and the judge in the TV miniseries "Scarlett". He is well-known for
playing the part of Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the the James Bond film "Diamonds are Forever". Mr. Gray
passed away in 2000.
Some trivia: He never saw his performance in "Rocky Horror, and is said to have never watched any
of his performances... Played both a hero and a villian in the James Bond movies -- the villian Blofeld in
"Diamonds are Forever", and Bond's contact Henderson in "You Only Live Twice".
